Hustle Clean
Packaging Redesign & Multi-Line Product Expansion
OVERVIEW
Hustle Clean—founded by former NFL player Justin Forsett following his featured appearance on Shark Tank with the "Shower Pill"—commissioned a comprehensive packaging redesign to expand into broader bath, body, and recovery lines. The goal was to build an elevated look targeting Black athletes, high-performing professionals, and business elites while establishing a strong presence on mass-retail shelves.
DESIGN & INSPIRATION
Visual Identity & Color Palette: Shifted away from the stark white aesthetic common in personal care, creating a distinctive matte black base with warm bronze metallic lids and accents to command shelf authority.
Product Line Architecture: Designed cohesive packaging across an extended portfolio, including Muscle Melt + Relief Epsom Salts, Foaming Bath Elixir, Foot Cream, Hydrating Recovery Lotion, Body Scrub, and Dry Shampoo.
Retail & Shelf Strategy: Created custom 3-in-1 callouts ("Body Soak, Foot Soak, or Exfoliator") and 3D shelf-display mockups specifically for pitch presentations to major retailers like Target.
RESULTS & IMPACT
- Successfully secured nationwide retail placement at Target within their sports, wellness, and post-workout recovery sections.
- Transformed the brand's visual identity from a single-product concept into an expansive, premium self-care ecosystem.
- Stood out against legacy personal care products through high-contrast, premium packaging tailored to high-performance lifestyles.
